Overview
Contributions or donations, including cash, property and services, regardless of recipient, are unallowable, except as provided in 31.205-1(e)(3), which states, " Costs of participation in community service activities (e.g., blood bank drives, charity drives, savings bond drives, disaster assistance, etc.) are allowable.
Please note, if you the donation is excess food to a nonprofit organization in accordance with the Federal Food Donation Act of 2008 (FAR Subpart 26.4) the donation would be deemed unallowable.
