Components of Billing Systems
Structure and Internal Control
- Billing Policies/Procedures. These are policies and procedures available to all employees.
- Training and Education. This includes required or "core" training for all employees and all employees working on or with government contracts.
The [Billing] System
- An established system (Accounting) of record. All invoices should be generated from the accounting system.
•Reports from the system assist in ensuring the accuracy of invoices and proper billing.
The Contract
The contract governs the invoicing parameters.
