Policy

Sexual harassment will not e tolerated at GovC. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits sexual discrimination.

Definitions

Quid Pro Quo - (What for What) Sexual Harassment occurs when a condition of employment is used to support a request for a sexual favor. Quid Pro Quo Sexual Harassment involves an unequal power base and an abuse of that power.

Hostile Environment - Sexual Harassment occurs when actions are taken which have the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.
