Every new hire who is slated to receive a Sign-On Bonus is required to sign a Sign-On Bonus Agreement (Form B) evidencing their legal obligation to repay the Sign-On Bonus to GovC if their employment is terminated, either voluntarily or involuntarily (excluding lay-off), within the twelve (12) months of their start date.

After the candidate becomes an employee by starting employment with GovC, Business Unit Human Resources should initiate the Sign-On Bonus payment(s).
1. The Business Unit Human Resources representative should verify the proper completion of each Sign-On Bonus Request, Sign-On Bonus Agreement, payment form and/or other supporting documentation.

2. The Business Units Human Resources representative should also verify the Sign-On Bonus recipient’s eligibility and compliance with the guidelines and policy set forth in herein.

3. The Business Operations Manager should confirm the availability of funding for each Sign-On Bonus.

4. The Business Units Human Resources representative should enter all properly approved Sign-On Bonus data into an electronic template/application provided by Corporate Compensation.

5. Corporate Compensation should consolidate Sign-On Bonus data for each Business Unit into a spreadsheet and forward the information to Payroll on a bi-weekly basis.

6. The new hire will receive the sign on bonus no later than the second pay day following his/her hire.

7. Upon payment of each Sign-On Bonus, Payroll should provide Corporate Compensation with a report that confirms all such payments.

8. Corporate Compensation should audit each payment made by Payroll against the figures that Corporate Compensation submitted to ensure accuracy.

9. The Business Units Human Resources should retain copies of all forms and documentation of each Sign-On Bonus.
